Gaucho Polo Returns to the O2 This Month…& We Have 4 Tickets To Give Away!

I bloody love the Polo.

It’s a day of fabulousness, with posh frocks, champagne, star-spotting, horses and rather well-toned men playing a sport they love.

Gaucho Polo O2 2013

If you haven’t been before – it’s something you should most definitely pop on your bucket list. The sport is exciting, the atmosphere is lovely and the champagne tends to flow rather freely. However, it’s not always the most accessible of sports – it can often be held way out of town, be a tad expensive and some events are a little bit stuffy (last time I went I sat on the table next to Prince Harry at dinner. I may have squealed).

HPA Gaucho Polo, however, does it all a little bit differently. It’s an extravaganza of music, wine tastings and sport – followed by a spectacular after-party with world class DJs until the early hours.

There’ll be some sensational live music from Latin Grammy award nominees, Tanghetto and dance performances from Strictly stars, Vincent & Flavia. There will be over 200 different wines in Europe’s biggest Argentinian wine village and of course, there’ll be the highest standard of International Polo. The headline match, England v Argentina, will see England Captain Jamie Morrison go mallet-to-mallet with Argentinian Captain and Ralph Lauren model, Nacho Figueras. (Sounds almost as delicious as a Gaucho steak, washed down with a glass of Malbec.)

As I type, the (fit) Polo Riders from across the globe will be making their way to London, ready for the event on the 21st May. They’re preparing for the big match, and the Buenos Aires style party that Gaucho will be throwing afterwards. This really is the best of Argentinian culture, food, music, dance, wine and sport all under one roof.

And I can’t go – as I’m on holiday. Gutted.

One of you lucky ones can though – with 3 of your friends – as luckily, we have 4 tickets to give away!

This brilliant competition prize package includes:

  • 4 x tickets to International Gaucho Polo at The O2

JJ, everything you write about I want to do/see/have just visited and love! Was just looking at tickets to the MINT polo and your competition popped up – being a lover of wine, the Argentinian Wine tasting would probably be my highlight (shamefully?), Malbec being my fave. But I love the chance to dress up, be a sophisticated ‘lady’ and watch the races. Plus it’s near to my birthday!

    Fingers crossed x

There are two things I’d most like at this event – the people watching (I bet it’s fascinating) and the atmosphere. There will be merriments, giggles and some excellent banter.

The Polo defiantly the polo and then the excitement of telling Miss Crossman! Because she is the ultimate horse woman who does nothing but work & deserves a day of and a little bit of spoiling!! The wine tasting wouldn’t be bad either especially considering I haven’t really had a day/night out in over a year (bloody baby’s!!) 🙂 x

I’d love to see the polo. I will be checking out the players a little but don’t tell my husband. Think it would be a really interesting different thing to do. Love a new experience.

I adore polo! LOVE it LOVEEEEEEEEEEE it!
It is just such an edutaining experience to be present in these matches especially when Argentina plays.

It is the wine tasting that is amazing but the champagne party with the stars will be the pinnacle of the evening! 🙂

But what I am looking for the most in this well organized event is to witness the game. UK-Argentina!!! So much looking forward to hear and see the elegant horses and superb players leading their baby horses gracefully but with loads of real breathtaking power! 🙂
The event of the year in the lands of this beautiful island.

Wow what a great competition prize. My favourite thing about it is the Argentine theme! No surprise as my favourite wine is Malbec and favourite strictly dance is the Argentine Tango! I’d love to see how the Argentine polo players compared! Fingers firmly crossed!!
