Love London Blogging Event: Are You Coming? #LLBlogEvent

OK, so it’s taken us a little while longer than we’d hoped to get this news to you, but we’re thrilled to (finally!) be able to share the details of the #LLBlogEvent taking place on 7th May.

We’re over the moon to be hosting the event at prestigious London venue Le Peep Boutique – which is usually home to a whole host of A-Listers but will be our beautiful home for the evening. Le Peep Boutique is on Park Lane, right outside Marble Arch tube station, so is really easy to find and the perfect place to host our night, which will be packed with great talks, networking, drinks, cupcakes, goody bags…and the list goes on!

If you’ve ever been to one of our events before you’ll know a little bit about what to expect. They’re a little different to usual networking events as we try to make them as fun as possible and include LOADS of freebies to make the night as good as it can possibly be! Each ticket will include admission, drinks reception, treats and a fantastic goody bag, along with talks from some of the UK’s top Blogging talent and the chance to stay and play in one of London’s hottest nightclubs when the doors open later on (if desired. It’s by no means compulsory)!

The agenda looks like this:

18:30  –  Doors open, drinks reception
19:00  –  Intro
19:15   –  Talks begin (read more about them, and our ace speakers here)
20:15  –  Q&A
20:30  –  Networking begins
21:00  –  Doors to Le Peep Boutique open to diners. Those who wish to can stay and continue the evening drinks with us in a private section (and stay later when the club starts too if desired).

Our amazing Speakers on the night include the fabulous Beauty Blogger London Beauty Queen, Fitness & Lifestyle Blogger BangsandaBun and Dating Guru Katy Horwood from All Sweetness & Life, The Metro and Huffington Post. Plus, we’re really pleased to have Rebecca from Bloggers Lounge on hand to answer their most frequently asked questions. As an advice agency that also facilitates partnerships beteen Bloggers and brands, we believe what Rebecca has to say will be well worth hearing! We’re really excited to hear their stories and get a few tips about how they reached their award-winning status in this busy blogging world.

There’s also a more serious side to the event. Profits from the event (including a percentage of each ticket sold) will be donated to the Trinity Hospice in Clapham.

There are a few charities that are close to my heart, each for different, personal reasons. Trinity Hospice in Clapham is particularly special. They are a compassionate and skilled end-of-life care unit, enabling patients and their loved one a place to feel confident, safe and loved at the most precious point of their life.

Trinity looked after our fellow Blogger, Magazine Editor, Wife, Daughter, Friend and Force-of-Nature Lisa Lynch during her final fight with (as she called it ) The Bullshit, and she loved them. In her own words…

“When I found myself in a sickeningly depressing, post-treatment slump of terrifying uncertainty, only one thing was able to bring me back to life: Trinity Hospice, and all the superbly rehabilitative, healing, restorative magic that goes on within its doors.”

I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Lisa personally, but I followed her blog, knew her online and more importantly, she was a close friend of someone very dear to me. Trinity need £7million a year to do the wonderful work they do and as soon as I thought about raising funds through this event, I immediately that I wanted to help Trinity reach that figure, even in a small way.

We will be working closely with Trinity Hospice in the lead up to, during and post event, and hope to have some of Lisa’s close friends with us on the night too. If you didn’t have the pleasure of having Lisa Lynch in your life, even in a small way, you can read her blog Alright Tit or buy her book The C Word which will give you an idea of just how awesome she was. And – keep your eyes out for the new BBC Drama that has been made of her life, which will be airing soon and stars Lisa’s good friend, Sheridan Smith.

Trinity Hospice, Lisa’s friends and family and of course myself will appreciate your help raising these vital funds more than you know. Every ticket bought & pound popped into a donation pot on the night will help massively and will really help change the life of someone special, when they need that care the most.

Thank you in advance for your support xx
