mews of mayfair

Hottest day of the year= Prosecco Pops and cocktails to the rescue thanks to Mews of Mayfair!

Today I stumbled upon the sweetest street….

I love finding and trying new places, especially in London, especially when they involve cocktails. And on this hot day I did both. Hidden down an alleyway laced with nothing but goodness, all run by the same people you’re spoilt for choice in Lancashire Court. My choice this particular day was The Mews of Mayfair, and enticing me in was the sound of their incredible new British summer cocktail menu and prosecco pops!

One of life’s most satisfying pops comes from the opening of a beautiful bottle of bubbly, but modern British brasserie Mews of Mayfair think they’ve cracked a real corker with the launch of its new- Prosecco Pops.

Combining the luxury of freshly-popped Prosecco with the childlike fun of a popsicle, discerning drinkers will marvel at the grown-up take on the traditional treat – boozy brainfreeze and all! Made from real Prosecco, as opposed to flavouring, these bubbly-boasting frozen lollies are a ‘Mews must-have’ this summer and are priced at £7.

I was also lucky enough to spend the sunny afternoon trying out their British Summer Cocktail menu too (booze hag I know) Cocktails included decadent concoctions such as The Somerset Sour made from 10yr old brandy mixed with fresh lemon, woody sage and tropical pineapple and The Lavender Road, made from an eccentric gin from the Bennett & Carter stills of Hendrick’s mixed with martini dry and bianco, finished with Velvet Falernum and lavender notes, all enjoyed leisurely in the brasserie’s al fresco courtyard.

In keeping with the brasserie’s patriotic support of British produce, the new menu continues its signature of tradition with a twist. Exclusively developed with British-produced spirits, wines, bubbly, beers and fruit, the menu has been designed to include sweet, sour and savoury flavours to appeal to all palettes.

Nestled nicely away from the bustle of nearby New Bond Street on Lancashire Court. Take time out this sun-filled summer and cool down with The British Cocktail Menu or an ice-cold Prosecco popsicle in-hand, Mews of Mayfair is the perfect stop off on a bright and balmy afternoon.
