National Chocolate Week

It’s #ChocolateWeek! Here are our Top 5 ways to indulge…

London is embracing #NationalChocolateWeek (12-18th October). Here are our top 5 ways to enjoy it...

Considering at least half the population is a chocoholic, I’m sure that #NationalChocolateWeek is one of the most popular weeks of the year. And for Londoners, it’s like Christmas come early – as many of the best venues are offering treats, specials and discounts, making it super-easy for you to indulge in the luscious stuff.

We’ve waded our way through the options and have crowned these 5 spots as the absolute must-visits this week. It’s chocolate heaven. DIVE IN!

Chocoholics Afternoon Tea

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love Afternoon Tea. And if you’re a dedicated chocoholic, you absolutely MUST try Lancaster London‘s Chocolate Afternoon Tea. Expertly created flavour combinations include chocolate and black olive tartlets; and warm savoury feta cheese and dark chocolate chip tarts. Freshly baked Divine Chocolate scones will also be included, served with a chocolate praline spread. Other sweet treats include honey and chocolate lollypops; coffee and chocolate opera; milk chocolate brownies and a selection of finger sandwiches….which may or may not contain chocolate.

There’s also a Paul A Young Afternoon Tea happening throughout October at Harvey Nichols.

Chocolate is not just for eating

K West Hotel and award-winning Spa are offering a limited edition massage (during Chocolate Week only). This divine treat includes a Cranberry Body Wrap, a deliciously aromatic Chocolate Balm Massage, and access to the hotel’s award-winning Wet Spa facilities and costs £125 per person. If you know someone you loves chocolate and deserves a bit of pampering – get booking.

Chocolate for beer lovers

Tomorrow (14th October), Rococco Chocolates and the Five Points Brewing Co are teaming up to bring you an evening of beer and chocolate. Chocolates will be paired with 5 of Five Points beers, demonstrating how well the two to go together. Possibly the perfect date night?

Chocolate for Shopoholics

One of my favourite London spots, Duke of York Square in Chelsea, are hosting a chocolate Market on Saturday. The market will see top Chocolatiers including Lavolio, Prestat, Doisy & Dam, Nom Nom and Basil & Hope come together to tantalise your tastebuds. The market runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, October 17.

Chocolate Cocktails? Uh-Huh Honey

Rocket restaurants have created Chocolate Orange and Tiramisu cocktails for £9 each, or two for £12 during happy hour. You cannot argue with that. Quick after-work drink, you say? Hell yeah…

And one for luck….

If you love Chocolate AND fashion, you need to head to St Pancras International. They’re showing a preview of theChocolate Fashion Collection until Thursday 15th (after which they’ll head over to Olympia for a full catwalk presentation at The Chocolate Show). The four outfits have been created using chocolate and have been designed by top chocolatiers including Lucie Bennett of Fleur de Sel, Aneesh Popat, The Chocolatier and Anita Thakker of Fruitful Blooms. The talent that goes into this creations is both incredible and edible. Has to be seen to be believed!
