We’re a big fan of the Almeida Theatre here at This Little Lady, but have not yet had the pleasure of eating in loyal favourite restaurant, The Almeida, which is situated opposite.
That’s set to change though, as we’ll make it our mission to get there early next year. It’s just been announced that as of January 2013, Robin Gill will be taking over as Head Chef. Robin is an extremely talented chef, with a fantastic pedigree, having previously worked at Marco Pierre Whites’ legendary three Michelin star, The Oak Room, two-Michelin starred Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and a brief stint at the world’s greatest restaurant, Noma in Copenhagen.
The new menu at The Almeida is set to be cleaner, lighter and fresher, with the best in seasonal vegetables, foraged fruits and herbs. Robin will be substituting butters and creams with oils and spices – making everything that little bit healthier, while still packed with delicious flavours.
