Summer is well and truly here in London, with temperatures set to soar to a whopping 29 degrees over the next week. London in the sunshine is a thing of absolute beauty – and I’m squealing with excitement this morning as GoBoat – a new boat hire company based at Paddington’s Merchant Square – now offer self drive boats for so you can get a totally new perspective of this incredible city.
You and 7 mates can charter your own boat for an hour for just £55 or £7 a head (you can also opt for two hours at £85 or three hours for £115). After a safety briefing, you’ll be armed with safety jackets and a map and sent on your way to explore London’s waterways. The most popular route is up through Maida Vale and Little Venice, past London Zoo and back again. Boaters can take their own picnic and drinks for no extra charge, so it’s a lovely experience for a group of friends, or even better – date night!
The boats are eco-friendly, made from recycled plastic bottles and sustainably sourced wood, and powered by electric engines. Boats will be available until late Autumn from 10am til dusk daily. The idea has been a huge success over in Copenhagen, and it’ll be massive here too!
Tickets are available to book on the GoBoat London website here.
