In today’s theme of pop-ups, tonight I’m revisiting Hawker House – the street food market – at its new indoor home on Kingsland Road. Last year I absolutely loved the vibe and am excited to check out this year’s lineup of slightly overpriced, but ever so tasty morsels, without catching hypothermia.
Along with the new location, this year brings more room and three levels. You’ll find the best of London’s street food like B.O.B’s Lobster, Baba G, Bleecker Burger, Yum Bun, SE Cakery, Breddo’s Tacos, Busan BBQ, Sambal Shiok, and Smokestak, all on a rotating basis. On Level 3 you will discover Milk & Honey, the new and improved Whisky Bar offering whisky roulette, and the Wine Bar for some much needed winter warmers.
Go for a taste of East London atmosphere and little tasters of lots of things.
Don’t go if you’re expecting a guaranteed seat or a quiet, intimate dinner. The bars all take cards but you’ll need cash for the grub. The nearest cash machine is a few seconds up the road at Tesco.
Hawker House is open from 5pm – midnight every Friday and Saturday for 10 weeks until 4th April.
Entry is FREE before 7pm and £4 after.
See you there…
