LIVE PANDA CAM. Just because they're amazing…

If you know me in real life, or follow me on twitter (@love_london), you’ll probably be aware that I kind of love Pandas.

I love them partly because they are ridiculously cute, and partly because…well…they’re just ridiculous. They fall over. They play-fight. They fall over some more. Stupid. But amazing.

This morning, my day was made when my friend @JGOBunting tweeted me to share his latest discovery – a LIVE PANDA TODDLER CAM.

Yep. You can watch the crazy little beasts go about their daily businesses, climbing on stuff, cuddling stuff, eating stuff…that’s about all they do. It’s wonderful. Nothing could possibly be cuter, ever.

The image above is a screen shot I took earlier, as the little Panda baby climbed up onto the swing and merrily played with his buddy. I can’t stop smiling. They’re just brilliant, aren’t they?

If you’re ever having a bad day, please let me know and I’ll happily send across images and videos of Pandas playing, Pandas sneezing, Pandas playfighting, Pandas on slides, Pandas in tupperware…my catalogue of Panda excellence is bound to brighten even the darkest of days.

On a more serious note, there is a very real possibility that our children’s children will not get to ever see real life Pandas, because they may be extinct. Partly due to human actions, and partly due to the fact they only mate one day a year, and not particularly successfully. I’m therefore happy to get involved with whatever I can to help save these little beasts. I’m the adoptive mother of a WWF Panda (called @CloudNineBob) thanks to a birthday gift from my colleague, the lovely @CloudNineRec. I’m also in the running to be a Chengdu Pambassador…the winners of which will get to go to China and play will REAL LIFE Pandas. Incredible. I’d encourage anyone else to get involved with saving the Pandas in anyway you can. I just can’t imagine a world without the monochrome mammals. It’s just too sad.
