Just nipping to Tesco’s for a Leg Wax…

Never thought I’d hear myself say that sentence, but it would appear we might all be picking up more than a bag of peas and a pint of milk when we pop down to Tesco’s.

They’ve launched a new initiative which will see hairdressing, nail and threading bars within their stores.

Nail bars and threading are currently being trialled at stores in Wembley, Cambridge Bar Hill, Milton Keynes Kingston and Manchester (Walkden) and standalone beauty salons – which will also offer hairdressing services – will be opened in Leicester and Chesterfield on January 31st. One of the huge benefits to shoppers is that no appointments will be necessary – great if you suddenly feel the need to spruce yourself up while you’re picking up potatoes.

The products used will be top named brands including the likes of Redken and Tigi, but prices will be competitive – £20 for a cut and blow dry, £15 for a shampoo and hair cut and £12.50 for a hair cut. A half leg wax is £10 and full leg £15.

It’s only a trial at the moment so it would be interesting to hear what your feedback is if you try any of these services out.
