If you have been following me on Facebook, Twitter, or Spotify recently, you will know I have fallen slightly in love with Paloma Faith. I don’t actually want to kiss her or anything, I’ve just learnt to appreciate how incredibly talented she is – and how much I love her voice.
I’d heard about her forthcoming London gig, which is taking place this Sunday, but stupidly thought that tickets were only available to AMEX customers. A fair assumption, I think, seeing as it is called an “American Express Platinum Cashback Gig”. But then this is from the girl who was recently out-witted by a Goldfish. True story.
Luckily though, I was able to get my hands on some tickets so am now thoroughly looking forward to seeing Paloma Faith’s live acoustic gig, in aid of War Child, at the Union Chapel in Islington this Sunday. I haven’t been to this famous venue before either – so am doubly excited to be going somewhere new!
Paloma will be performing a stripped back acoustic set to an intimate audience to help raise money for War Child. It’s an amazing cause, and the charity has long standing ties with the music industry – primarily obvious in their partnership with the BRITS.
Tickets to the show are available to EVERYONE, and are just £30, which I think is a complete bargain for such an incredible show. Plus, in celebration of the generous cashback rewards earned with its Platinum Cashback Cards, AMEX are doing something a little bit special. All ticketholders attending the 750 capacity gig will be given their ‘cashback’ on the £30 ticket price in the form of a £30 American Express Gift Card® which they can then choose to keep, or donate War Child. I know what I’d do with mine. What about you?

All money collected on the night, along with an additional £10,000 which American Express is donating, will go towards War Child‘s vital work. If yoiu can’t make it but would still like to donate to the cause, click here.
