Just came across this image on the Orange Film Club’s Facebook page. It’s apparently an exclusive Journalists viewing of Life of Pi in Paris…and it looks INCREDIBLE!
Each group had their own private boat (no Tigers included) as they watched the film…which of course has a main character named after a swimming pool in Paris (the Piscine Molitor). See what they did there?!
I’d like to think this was screened at the disused pool, but can’t find any info – sorry.
Life of Pi has been lauded as one of the most beautiful films in cinematic history. I can’t wait to see it. Just a shame it won’t be in this incredible style (although how would you nip out to the loo?)
This all looks marvellous, but I’m a little bit gutted to be honest. James and I returned from Paris last week and visited the cinema to see (the excellent) Argo while we were there. We had to put up with standard seats and sticky floors like normal cinema goers though – none of this special treatment for us!
Do you know anything more about this screening? Please let us know in the comments box below x
