I bloody love the Big Easy. They were one of the first restaurants I ever wrote about on this site (back when we were thislittleladywenttolondon.com) and I’ve been a super-fan ever since. If you’ve ever eaten there, you’ll know why. Great food (in big quantities), brilliant atmosphere and KILLER frozen Margarita.
This combination = happy little me.
Back in the olden days, when I first reviewed the restaurant, there was just one Big Easy, in a prime spot on the King’s Road in Chelsea. A couple of years ago they expanded to Covent Garden, and now they’re about to launch their biggest and latest restaurant in Canary Wharf, at the new Crossrail development.
To celebrate, they’re hosting a pre-launch shindig on May 1st, to make their stamp on the new area and show people what to expect from the most exciting launch of Big Easy yet. There will be food stalls serving some of Big Easy’s signature dishes and a bar serving whiskies, award winning wines, craft beers and of course their infamous slushies; all to the soundtrack of live music from their smashing house band ‘The Big Easy All Stars’ as well as some very special guests, this is a pop-up not to be missed!
The party will kick off at 12pm and go on “late”. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend heading down and treating yourself to the Big Easy experience. It’s awesome.
