I bloody love cake.

Who doesn’t? I mean. I don’t even have a sweet tooth, but some days, absolutely nothing will do other than a slice of rich, gooey chocolate cake and a cup of tea.

*BRB, going to find chocolate cake*

So, I get a little bit excited when I hear that Cutter & Squidge, the creator of the Biskie (a fusion of cake, biscuit and cookie) have gone from successful pop-up to permanent Soho fixture.

Cutter and Squidge was founded by sisters Emily & Annabel Lui, and is an all natural bakery, so their delicious creations are completely free of any nasty artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives. Which means they’re actually good for you….right??

Treats in store will include biskie flavours such as Key Lime Pie, Cookies & Cream and the ever-popular Billionaire (Belgian chocolate, salted caramel and shortbread finished with 24 carat gold). Other goodies in store will include vegetarian marshmallows, Dream Cakes, honeycomb, and award-winning Cutter & Squidge Salted Caramel.

It’s not just the produce that’s beautiful here. The store has been designed by Callum Lumsden (whose other work includes Harry Potter World and Warner Bros Studio Tours) and is a GORGEOUS space complete with a secret garden with wishing well, hanging plants, flowers and fruits.

Now. At Love London, we’re always very keen to take one for the team and try out venues on your behalf, reporting back with an honest review that enables you to decide whether to visit or not. I suspect this is going to be particularly hard work, but we’re willing to trek all the way to Soho to try out Cutter and Squidge VERY SOON. Hard work, but someone’s got to do it. WE CAN’T BLINKING WAIT!!

Bring on the Biskies.

Wow, those cakes look absolutely amazing! I think I’m going to have to take a little trip to Soho on the weekend just for one of those! x

I know – they’re ridiculously pretty! Not too pretty to eat though 😉
