It’s no secret that my absolute favourite bakery in London is West Hampstead’s Bake-a-Boo, which does a delicious selection of normal and gluten/dairy-free cakes. However, with more and more of us either being gluten intolerant, or just watching what we eat, there’s always room for more establishments paying particular attention to our needs. So, the news of Beyond Bread Bakery & Cafe, that recently opened in Fitzrovia, was definitely welcome at LL HQ.
The interior of the new bakery (which opened it’s doors a couple of weeks ago) is sleek and stylish, and the food is not just for those on a “free-from” diet. It’s delicious for everyone. The menu was developed with the assistance of Adriana Rabinovich, author of ‘The Gluten-Free Cookbook For Kids” and contains a delicious mix of pasties, pastries and pies, cakes and quiches, tarts, sandwiches, and of course, an excellent selection of gluten-free breads.
Open 6 days a week, Beyond Bread is becoming a popular lunchtime spot in the week and is buzzing for brunch on Saturday mornings. Feedback so far has been really positive, but now we know it’s there we’ll be heading in ASAP and give your own very honest opinion as soon as possible!
