The Boys From Check On Pop Up At The Sanderson…

If you’ve been scouring the amazing events listed over on our London Events Calendar (if not, why not?!), you’ll possibly have noticed some of the delicious sounding pop-up events from George Craig and Terry Edwards, collectively known as Check On.

If you’re thinking that gorgeous George’s face looks a little familiar, it’s probably because it should be. He’s the lead singer of the ridiculously good band One Night Only and one of the hottie Burberry models. He’s also a bloody nice bloke with the best leather jacket IN THE WORLD. Goes without saying it’s Burberry, right?

George is not the only talented one in this duo, of course. Terry Edwards is a Mark Hix protege, who has earned his stripes working in world-famous restaurants Hix and Le Gavroche. This highly respected young chef likes to play with his food in the best possible way. His unique and quirky dishes would bring pleasure to even the most miserable of mouths.

The boys share a passion for fantastic ingredients and great quality food, but don’t take themselves too seriously, which is probably why Check On has been such a phenomenal success. Their regular “Stag Party” and “Hen Party” events have been held at The Endurance in Soho, but from next weekend they’re moving round the corner to take up temporary residency in the Billiard Room at the lush Sanderson Hotel.

The new venture, “Great British Classics”, will see the lads put a completely new spin on the dishes we know and love – making them even better than before.  The exciting eight course tasting menu will include gourmet versions of “fish and chips” (deep fried scallop served with mushy peas and potato crisps) and “a cup of tea” (Earl Grey mousse with a rich tea chocolate biscuit).

Expect originality. Expect delicious, sophisticated food. Expect two hosts who are rather easy on the eye and expect a bloody great night. These two boys are full of humour, banter and talent – all that’s needed to make this new pop-up another huge success!

Get in quick if you want to reserve tickets – they’re limited and are definitely going to go quick.

It’s £55 a head (amazing value for money) and you can reserve your place at, where there’s also lots more detail about the boys and the incredible menu they have in store.

The event starts next weekend (24th May) and continues over the three weekends.

I’ll be going. May even see you there!

Our events calendar will always have the latest Check On Pop Up news, so keep your eyes peeled for this and other great events x
