Spend or Save? Spring Trend…Bold Stripes.
I started writing a piece about Spring trends last week, when the sun was shining, the birds singing and the weather was positively Spring-like.
Looking out the window now, that seemed like a cruel joke. Thank God I didn’t pack my winter clothes away…I need my jumpers. However, despite the recent snow (SNOW??? In March??) we can still talk about some of the most wearable trends for this SS13, as a few of them will happily cross over between seasons.
One of the most prominent trends we saw on the catwalks for SS13 was bold stripes, which were favoured by the fashion world’s big-hitters including Vivienne Westwood, Michael Kors, D&G, Jonathan Saunders, Temperley London and Marc Jacobs. Many of the garments you will find are combining this with another big trend of the season – monochrome. Pair the two for double the impact. Sexy!
This really is an easy trend to nail whatever your budget. From H&M to Harrods, stripes are everywhere…and of course, you don’t need to go head to toe. If you’re not feeling brave, pair some vertically striped skinnies with a plain top, or wear a pair of stunning striped shoes with black jeans. There are so many ways to wear this look…so get shopping!

What do you think – would you go for the Designer option, or make the high street choice work for you? I’m not sure I’d ever spend £1000+ on a pair of jeans…although I guess it would be nice to be able to.
Let me know your thoughts x
