Stevie Wonder Confirmed as Headline Act at Bestival 2012…

Anyone who follows me on Twitter or has read this site for an length of time will be familiar with my love for Bestival.

I went with a group of friends, both old and new, for the first time last year and was blown away by the amazing vibe – the whole festival is full of love and happiness – even when you are knee deep in mud and on the wrong end of a hurricane.

Along with the fabulous live acts, DJs and fairground rides, Bestival brings you a touch of magic too. Dress up with no limits, get lost in the Ambient Forest or dance around at the Wishing Tree…this is the place for free spirits who just want to enjoy themselves for a few days in the beautiful fields of the Isle of Wight.

Now. I never wish the Summer away…but today I came close as I heard the brilliant news that the legend himself, Stevie Wonder, will be headlining Sunday night at the best Festival in the UK this year.

Festival organiser Rob da Bank says: “What can I say? What a day! I see part of my job at Bestival as giving you acts you may never have seen or will get the chance to see again… so, I’m hoping you feel as happy as I do as we announce the legendary Stevie Wonder as Sunday night headliner! A winner of 25 Grammy Awards,  the most ever for a solo artist, this man’s music has always been part of the da Bank home listening experience and also a favourite at our Sunday Best and Bestival parties and this is a very rare chance to see a legend in action. See you there!”

Sounds almost as excited about the whole thing as I am, doesn’t he?! Stevie heads up a sterling list of acts so far, including:
