You may not have noticed, but Spring is on it’s way. I know it’s been snowing and the weather is, quite frankly, batshit crazy at the moment, but in a few weeks, we may just seen some sunshine. Hard to believe right now, but let’s hope, hey?
With the new season in mind, I’ve been working on a number of fashion posts, based around 2013 Spring trends. Luckily for us, many of what was seen on the SS13 catwalks was gorgeous and wearable – and adaptable to any budget, as you’ll see from the posts we have coming up over the next few weeks.
All this research has made me somewhat of an expert on what’s happening in the shops at the moment. And while many are unfortunately getting it all very wrong (skirts made from bathmats, and lime green string vests H&M…really??) there are some brands that are getting it so right, it makes me want to weep with joy. Or hug them. Or maybe just give them a gold star.
One of the fashion names that has really impressed me over the last week is Ted Baker. Both online and in store, their new season collection is feminine, stylish, mature and desirable, combining a number of the keys shapes and patterns of the season. From sporty dresses to graphic prints and pretty florals, there’s not much in there that I wouldn’t wear; and that’s quite unusual, as I can be a picky little madam. When it comes to SS13 trends, Ted Baker have nailed it. I’ll take it all.
