On Friday night I stepped into an Italian summer oasis at The House of Peroni pop-up in Brick Lane and i loved it!
As you walk in you can’t help but be blown away by the incredible installations by natural sculptor Rebecca Louise Law. I’m used to seeing this space hungover on a Sunday filled with the Brick Lane food markets but this was a lot easier on the eye.
The House features multiple bars with Peroni infused cocktails created by award winning Italian mixologist, Simone Caporale, I was lucky enough to have a cocktail made by Simon himself, it looked more like a chemistry lesson but boy was it delicious, with flower infused smoke you inhale and all.
There is Italian gourmet Street food available in the beer garden but after trying it and in normal London pop-up style it’s largely over priced for what it was. I would although recommend the inside restaurant, I had major food envy. I regrettably didn’t have time to try it out but it looked and smelled incredible. You can also book a private dining experience that I’m definitely going to do; the best thing other than dining in an Italian summertime oasis is the table is made out of glass where you can see the chefs prepare your meal!- Lush
PRIVATE DINING EXPERIENCE
SATURDAY-SUNDAY SITTINGS: 12.00 AND 19.00
BOTH CARNE E PESCE AND VEGANO MENUS ARE £65 OR £75 INC. ALCOHOL TUESDAY-SUNDAY EVENING; £55 or £65 INC. ALCOHOL SATURDAY-SUNDAY LUNCHTIME
The House of Peroni Residency provides something for everyone from the early morning birdsongs to the evening DJ’s. In addition there are multiple bars offering a menu of highly inventive Peroni Nastro Azzurro infused drinks. I’m personally not a major fan of beer but I was a fan of all these cocktails. My favourite been the raspberry sorbet, simple idea but oh so delicious. Frozen sorbet then filled with Peroni beer, once melting together its very tasty. Don’t worry lads your standard beer is available too.
