UK Film Festival at The Aubin Cinema, Shoreditch (11-15th Nov)

This week, London plays host to some of the world’s most talented film-makers, as the UK Film Festival descends on Shoreditch.

The festival celebrates film-makers from around the world; with a solid combination of both unseen talent and Oscar nominated masterpieces.

UK Film FestivalNow in it’s 3rd year, the festival offers awards in the following categories;

  • Best Short Film
  • Best Feature Film
  • Best Documentary
  • Best Animation
  • Best Music Video
  • Best British Short Film
  • Best Student Film
  • Plus special awards for Excellence

As well as all of the above, this year the European Parliament have chosen the UK Film Festival to screen the finalists of the Lux Feature Film Prize. The three films up for this awards are Miele, by Valeria Golino (France & Italy), The Broken Circle Breakdown by Felix Van Groeningen (Belgium) and The Selfish Giant, by Clio Barnard (UK). Tickets to these three film screenings are completely free – while a festival pass to admit you into screenings of films in other categories is available for just £10.
