The last few years have seen a number of new ideas popping up in London’s culinary scene. Cake-pops and cupcakes have driven us crazy. One place sells Champagne and Hot Dogs. Another? Just Burgers and Lobsters. But possibly the bravest and most unusual yet is POP in Notting Hill, which sells Popcorn. And not much else.
It’s a bit of an odd idea, but it seems to be working. The shop, which is Europe’s first Popcorn boutique, says they handmake “the world’s best popcorn”, using seasonal ingredients and unusual combinations, which seem to be a hit with their many fans.

If you want to try it out for yourself, now is a good time, as the Notting Hill boutique have just announced their spring menu. Along with their signature flavours of Olive Oil & Sea Salt, SweetCrisp and English Toffee, for the next few months at least you’ll also be able to try Easter Spiced Caramel, Cheese & Spring Onion and Rhubarb Crumble, all made by dusting and coating premium popcorn with delicious natural flavourings.
As snacks go, popcorn is one of the healthier ones available to us…so if we get a little bit addicted, it can’t be a bad thing, right? With cupcakes and burgers and hot dogs all taking London by storm over the last few years, could popcorn be next on the list?
Have a try and let us know what you think.
