What I Wish I Wore… Working from the balcony!

It’s not secret that I’m not in the best of health, and yesterday was a tough day.

Therefore, I’m under strict instructions to rest today – which means no leaving the house and walking round to the park – which is tough in this glorious sunshine. Luckily though, we do have a balcony, so I’ve set up camp out there and am sunbathing working away with the sun on my skin, admiring those blue skies and thinking how lovely London is when the weather is fine.

I’m not going to lie. The biggest effort I made this morning was dragging the duvet outside to sit on. In reality, I’m bumming around in the boyfriends comfy boxer shorts and my favourite loose printed vest (from ASOS in 2009…)

But if I was super-glamorous and had an unlimited wardrobe? I’d be wearing…

…This absolutely perfect lounging outfit! Which would of course also double up beautifully for a holiday: Imagine lunching by the sea, sipping wine, nibbling a salad, watching the world go by from behind a pair of  huge, oversized shades…Amazing.

The playsuit is a soft terry towelling with button detail and drawstring for comfort. The sandals are bang on trend for summer, gladiator inspired in a neutral shade nubuck leather that would go brilliantly with this outfit, and so many others too. And the bag? A perfect pop of colour in the seasons hottest shade, tangerine. I want it. I WANT IT ALL!

Today’s #WIWIW stockists are;

  1. Kim Short Playsuit | £219 | Melissa Odabash
  2. Medea Lattice Greek Sandal | £140 | My-Wardrobe.com
  3. Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote | £240 | Selfridges

Grand total? £599. Not bad for a day of working on the balcony! Guess I better work harder and earn enough to fund these dreams…

What do you think? Would you wear this?

PS: This is my view from balcony office right now. Hope you’re all enjoying the sun as much as me!
