I don’t know about you, but we’re very jealous of everyone floating round Cannes this week. We’ve been poring over the party pictures (how I wish I’d been at Eden Roc Gucci Party last night), lusting over the fashion and trying to keep up with the myriad of reviews that are filtering through. It seems like next year is going to be packed with incredible films which we simply can’t wait to see.
Something else was brought to my attention too – the gorgeous Champagne bottles the stars have been enjoying. As we all know, I do like my Champagne, so I did a little bit of research and found out that they are new limited edition bottles by Champagne Piper-Heidsieck, who have been sponsoring the Cannes Film Festival for 20 years. Apparently Marilyn Monroe was quoted as saying that she “went to bed with nothing but a drop of Chanel behind her ears, and woke up to a glass of Piper Heidsieck”. We like her style…
The distinctive limited edition bottles have been introduced to celebrate the 65th year of the most famous Film Festival in the World, and are being served to the glittering crowd throughout. Available in either a bright red (classic Brut) or in a gorgeous bright pink (the Rosé Sauvage), the bottles are encased in stunning mock crocodile leather (bang on trend incidentally) and feature the famous Palme d’Or logo at the top.
Two words. We want.
