Wedding Belles – Nicola’s Bridal Makeup

This Friday my bestie, Nicola Moulder is getting hitched to her sweetheart, Chris Jacks and I’m super excited. But also super nervous, because someone put me in charge of the bride’s makeup. EEEEKKKK. Pressure. She’s a total babe though, so the job will be easy.

I’ll be documenting the makeover on the day. But here’s where my inspiration is coming from…If you’ve got any bridal products must haves or top tips for me as her makeup artist on the big day, then please comment underneath or share them on our twitter page @Love_london

Thanks lovelies.

Be sure to match her foundation to her neck! So her face isn’t lighter/darker than the rest of her skin! that way it will look all even and blended. Also try to stay away from products that have Titanium dioxide in them as its a reflective mineral and is what makes girls look washed out in photos! Its less likely to happen with a professional photographer, but if people are taking photos with a flash it’ll blow her skin out!

all these products are great and are perfect for the look you want to achieve however just confirm with the bride before hand the type of coverage she is looking for. In my experience most of my brides want as natural a coverage as they can get so I often opt for Mac Face and Body Foundation which is very light. Estée Lauder Double Wear has a medium coverage, great in photos but looks a little heavier close up. If this is not an issue for the lovely lady then it’s all good!

Have a great day and good luck!
