What I think about St Tropez In Shower Tanning Lotion

For years I’ve been willing someone to invent some kind of water activated fake tan – and St Tropez have only gone and blummin’ done it.
St Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower Tanning Lotion has already attracted a strong celebrity following including Kate Moss, Poppy Delevingne, Sienna Miller, Lindsay Lohan and Millie Mackintosh.
Apparently the stuff is like gold dust – it’s sold out everywhere and has a waiting list of thousands – so I must have been seriously lucky when I ordered one at boots.com last week and picked it up from my local Boots the next day.
Here’s what went down
Got in the shower and cleansed myself – as per the instructions. Washed my hair and blobbed it up on my head with the conditioner on. Whilst my body was still wet, I grabbed a big dollop of the creamy in-shower tan and massaged it into my body in a circular motion. This was really pretty easy – the consistency is creamy and clings to your skin. The water makes it easy to spread evenly.
Jumped out of the shower, shivering a little and dripping all over the floor, to brush my teeth. I counted to 3 minutes in my head – no idea if it was accurate or not. Then I rinsed it off and patted myself dry. Easy.

The results
A few hours later I started to get a whiff of that all too familiar fake tan smell – it wasn’t very strong – but there was an undeniable scent of BO & digestive biscuits. You know what I’m talking about.
But I did look a little browner. My translucent winter skin warmed up a tad by a whisper of a tan. I wanted more.
One week later
I’ve been using this every other day. And I’m really impressed with the results. It requires minimal mess and admin and it’s given me a nice, natural, even, no streaky glow – not too brown, not too pale – just right.
Nice one St Tropez.
Can someone invent an in-bath one now please?
