I’m sober.
Properly sober. Not “taking a break”, not “just cutting down”, not “only on weekdays”.
And yet… this week on Love London, I appear to be writing a lot about alcohol.

Because this isn’t about drinking. And it’s definitely not about throwing up lazy “here’s another place to get drunk” content. We’re not doing that. If it’s not interesting, we don’t write about it. Simple. BUt this one is good, so here we are.
There’s a beer-pouring fresco landing in Covent Garden this May bank holiday. Yes, still a ridiculous sentence. Still true.
Peroni Nastro Azzurro is bringing Il Fresco di Peroni to the Piazza… a large-scale, Renaissance-inspired art installation that you can actually step inside.
And here’s the twist.
It doesn’t just look like a fresco. It pours beer.
As in, you walk into what looks like a classical Italian artwork… and walk out with a crisp Peroni in your hand, served straight from the illusion itself.
It’s part art installation, part optical trick, part immersive experience. And honestly, that’s why it’s here.
Because Love London has never been about “go here, drink this”. It’s about moments. Things you’d actually bother leaving the house for. Stuff that makes London feel like London again.
This just happens to involve a beer.
If you drink, great. You’ll get a free one.
If you don’t, also great. You’ll still get the experience, the visuals, and a mildly smug sense of superiority that you don’t have to join the queue.
