Another day, another piece of creativity that puts my old A Level sketches to shame…
This huge mosaic of Martin Luther King was created entirely from official Rubik’s Cubes. 4242 of them, in fact. Each cube was left whole and twisted into the correct pattern, before being laid into a huge frame.
The work, created by Designer Pete Fecteau, was part funded by Kickstarter.com and was seen by over 30,000 people. It was on display during the 2010 ArtPrize competition in Grand Rapids, Michigan USA.
