We (should) all know how important a well shaped eyebrow is for us ladies. Achieving the perfect arch can completely change the shape of your face, make your eyes look bigger and add prominence to your features. But how easy is it to get the perfect brow?
I’m not particularly skilled with tweezers. I mean, I do OK, but I am no expert plucker. And unfortunately, I wasn’t gifted with naturally perfect brows. In truth, they’re a little unruly. So when I am offered help in the shaping department, I am always going to be rather grateful.
In step Browhaus, on Floral Street, Covent Garden. This cute little salon, inspired by Bauhaus, the German art movement (yes, really), this one-stop brow and lash grooming stop is a god-send to those with bushy brows.
They accept walk-ins and scheduled appointments and you simply fill in a short form, head downstairs, lay back and let the fun begin. You can opt for threading, tweezing or a combination of the two – plus colouring, lash extensions and more. I went for the thread and tweeze (£18) and am pleased to say that the process didn’t hurt a bit. I had let my brows get horrifically messy to ensure I gained the most from the experience and despite having some “tough hairs” the threading was over in a matter of minutes. I was advised to leave some of the hairs in place to improve my arch, so at the end there were a few loner hairs remaining, but they are already filling in and giving me that full arch that is so on trend at the moment.
Personally, I think my face looks slightly better with a slightly thinner brow but the experts know best, so I have gone with their advice and am rocking the strong, perfectly groomed arch for the time being!
Browhaus do lots of deals (that aren’t on the website so make sure you ask in store) so you can keep your brows looking perfect on a permanent basis so it’s worth looking into that to save yourself some money.
