Beyoncé's Mrs Carter Tour Tickets Will Be "Cheap"

beyonce destiny's child superbowl

Beyoncé has been all over the press this week after her SuperBowl performance, with speculation/criticism/attacks from Peta over her Python/Iguana outfit all creating column inchese. But surprisingly ( to me at least) she didn’t earn a penny for her appearance. The NFL don’t pay artists, but instead cover any expenses they incur.

Those expenses, which will include travel, accommodation, fees for backing dancers etc, would add up to a cool half a million or more (& save her paying some tax on such costs, if handled correctly), but why would Mrs Carter do the show for free?

Perhaps because she earned in the region of $70 million dollars a year during the years 2009-2011, and $40million in 2012 (dropped due to the arrival of baby Ivy Blue). So she doesn’t really need the cash…and it’s such a high profile gig, it will certainly peak the interest of fans in advance of her 2013 World Tour, aptly named “Mrs Carter”.

Instead of whacking up the price of the tickets though, as some pop-stars do, it would seem that Beyonce is quite happy with the pot of cash she and hubby Jay-Z are sitting on already. A statement launched today told of how she (or her people) has instructed promoters of her tour tickets to keep the prices as low as possible.

The 31 year old ex Destiny’s Child singer wants the shows to be accessible to all fans, regardless of their financial situation. Just how “cheap” the tickets will be is yet to be seen…but at least she’s trying, I guess! Tickets go on general sale in the UK on Saturday Feb 23rd at 9.30am. If you’re on O2, however, you can get them 48 hours earlier on Thursday 21st Feb by texting Beyonce to 2020, or visiting o2priority.co.uk/beyonce.

So now you’ve read the news, here are some incredibly hot pictures of B..so the boys can all want her and us girls can wish we were her!

Time we had a #pervpost for the boys I guess!
