Cookhouse Joe is the sister restaurant to Soho Joe, the ever-popular Pizzeria in Soho.
The new restaurant opens this week on Berwick Street, just round the corner to it’s big bro. Cookhouse Joe will specialise in chicken, not pizza, and rumour has it that it has a HUGE oven, capable of cooking 90 chickens at a time installed in it’s sparkly new kitchen. Ninety chickens is a lot. But then, I think this restaurant is going to be pretty popular, so they won’t last long.
I don’t know too much at this stage, but the new London restaurant is reported to seat 60 guests (30 up and 30 downstairs) and takeaway will be available too. There’ll be a bit of a Lebanese theme going on, with spiced chickens plus falafels and salads available. There will be a small bar, and they’ll be serving full English breakfasts first thing. I wonder if the two are related??
